About Us is an award-winning online community and website for exceptional students from around the world who love science, technology, engineering and math. On Cogito, students can participate in online interviews with scientists and mathematicians of all ages; view news articles, essays, book reviews, videos and blogs pertaining to myriad science and math topics; and access a searchable database of academic programs and math and science competitions.

Cogito also features secure, members-only discussion forums where members can discuss science and math-related issues as well as career and educational topics. The site received the prestigious SPORE award from Science magazine (Science Prize for Online Resources in Education), and an article about the site appeared in the October 28, 2011 edition of Science. Cogito has also won a Gold Award from the Parents’ Choice Foundation, as one of the highest quality websites geared toward children and young adults.

Inspired and funded by the John Templeton Foundation, Cogito is a collaborative effort by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth and eight partners—all highly renowned organizations that serve gifted youth. Other organizations that serve exceptional students, including the sponsors of major math and science competitions and educators that work with students in countries outside of the United States, can become Cogito affiliates and nominate students for membership.
